Transaction fees guides

Understand the fee currency, the transaction work and the total cost of a route.

A fee can describe several different things: the network cost of a transaction, a wallet’s estimate, a platform’s withdrawal charge, or an additional step in a cross-chain route. The amount alone does not tell you which cost you are looking at. This collection explains each network’s fee context before bringing the costs together for comparison.

Start with your network guide to understand which asset pays the fee and which transaction details affect the estimate. Continue to the route-comparison article when more than one transfer or service is involved. The pending-transfer guide explains why a low-looking quote and a delayed transaction should be interpreted using current transaction evidence.

Use the Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana overviews for a concise introduction. Numerical examples in the articles illustrate arithmetic; they are not fee quotes or promises about future inclusion.
